I decided to revisit another design that I had sketched a year ago.

I started off with some reference photos that inspired the design

Then I drew vectorized assets for the design and viewed how the laid together.

I made a draft pass to test the colors

And then, a grayscale pass to lock down the composition

I applied textures to the composition skins and then sculpted forms over the assets

Personal Logo Design

A year ago, I drew up a design for a logo and thought I might discuss the process in which I went about creating it.

First off, I started with some reference images what I wanted to capture with the feel.

Then, I drew vectorized assets and layered them together.

the design went through various stages as I applied new colors to the assets...

...adding shadows and highlights...

...and a stone texture background with and overlaid tinting.
